Business & Hire Terms for Camper vans
Welcome to Compass Campers UK Limited! These terms and conditions apply to the hire of all our campervans and any other services provided to you. Please review them carefully before proceeding with your booking.
1.0 Booking Procedure
To make a booking, please submit your request online. All bookings are subject to availability and will only be confirmed in writing. Full payment is required at the time of booking, and in the event that we are unable to fulfill your request, a full refund will be provided. Please note that we do not accept cash payments due to insurance purposes.
2.0 Authorized Drivers
The hirer and any additional driver must be between the ages of 25 and 70 and hold a valid UK or European driving license for at least 2 years. We are unable to hire to individuals with driving convictions, endorsements, or more than 6 penalty points. Drivers must also not have any mental or physical infirmities that could affect their ability to drive safely. Additional drivers may be added for a fee, subject to any endorsements.
We provide comprehensive insurance coverage for the campervan, with an excess of £1000. Damage or loss below the excess amount will be charged at the actual cost unless the damage waiver option has been selected and paid for. Please note that certain parts of the campervan, such as tires, wheels, underbody, and windscreen, are not covered by the collision damage waiver (CDW).
To ensure a smooth rental experience, please adhere to the following conditions:
– Dogs are only allowed with prior agreement.
– Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the campervan.
– The campervan must be kept secured at all times.
– Furniture should not be removed from the campervan.
– An inventory check will be conducted before and after hire, and any missing or damaged items will be chargeable.
– The toilet must be emptied before returning the campervan to avoid a £50.00 additional charge.
In the unlikely event of a breakdown, the campervan is covered by the RAC emergency recovery service. Relevant contact numbers will be provided to you upon collection.
6.0 Collections and Returns
Collections are scheduled between 13:00 and 17:00 on the day of hire, unless otherwise agreed. The campervan must be returned by 11:00 on the final day of hire, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7.0 Availability and Cancellations
All bookings made through our website are requests and will be confirmed in writing. In the event that the booked campervan is unavailable, we will find an alternative or provide a full refund. Please refer to our cancellation policy for more information.
A contract between you and Compass Campers UK Limited will only exist once we have received and accepted your booking request in writing. Compensation for any problems caused by our negligence is limited to the amount of any unused hire fee. Please inform us immediately of any issues so that we can rectify them.
